Sundarbans


Sundarbans is the one of the largest deltas and tidal mangrove forests in the world. Sunderbans is a UNESCO World Heritage Site covering parts of India and Bangladesh.

The Sundarbans National Park is a National Park, Tiger Reserve, and a Biosphere Reserve located in the Sundarbans delta. This region is densely covered by mangrove forests, and is one of the largest reserves for the Bengal tiger. Just 2 hour drive from Kolkata, you can reach where mainland ends and the islands start and you need to travel only by water boats to see the islands and their habitates - flora and fauna. Ofcourse in the core areas of Sunderbans, there is no human habitation.
